About Desi Threads Boutique
Handpicked in India. Fitted in Frisco.
Desi Threads Boutique began with a simple frustration. Finding real South Asian ethnic wear in North Texas usually meant one of two things: a rushed trip back to India, or ordering online from a photo and hoping the fabric, the fall, and the fit all turned out the way you imagined.
We opened our doors in Frisco to close that gap. Every piece in the store is one you can hold, drape, and see in daylight before you decide. Our team steams it, fits it, and shows you how to style it — the way a boutique in Delhi or Ludhiana would.
Our own export house in India
Most boutiques in the U.S. buy from a wholesaler who bought from another wholesaler. We don't.
DTB Exim is our export arm in India, and it's the reason our racks look the way they do. Our team there works directly with weavers, mills, and design houses across the country Banarasi silk from Varanasi, Chikankari from Lucknow, mirror work and bandhani from Gujarat, hand-embroidered bridal from the Delhi ateliers. They see the fabric on the loom. They negotiate. They inspect every consignment before it's packed.
That structure does three things for you:
You see pieces other stores don't carry. We buy in small runs directly from the source, so what's on our racks isn't the same catalog every other boutique is working from.
You pay less for the same garment. Cutting two or three layers of middlemen out of the chain shows up in the price tag, not in the quality.
We can vouch for what we sell. When a customer asks whether a saree is real Banarasi silk or a powerloom copy, we know — because our own team watched it being made.
What you'll find in store
Sarees in silk, georgette, organza, and Banarasi brocade. Lehengas for brides and for the friends of the bride. Salwar suits and kurtis for everyday wear and for festival season. Anarkalis, sharara sets, and indo-western pieces. Bridal wear with the embroidery work you'd expect to travel for.
New arrivals land through the year, and heavily before wedding and festival season.
